Ingredients:

  • 1 Pack of Medium-firm Tofu
  • 1.5 cup of Sweet Potato Flour or Tapioca Starch

Spicy Garlic Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp of Minced Garlic
  • 2.5 tbsp of Black Vinegar
  • 2.5 tbsp of Vegetarian Oyster Sauce
  • 1-2 Green Onion (chopped)
  • 1 tsp of Crushed Cumin
  • 1.5 tbsp of Korean Red Chili Flakes
  • 0.5 tbsp of Sesame Seeds
  • 1 tbsp of Sugar
  • 1-2 tbsp of Cilantro (chopped)
  • 4 tbsp of HOT oil

Instructions:

  1. Drain the tofu and cut it into bite-sized pieces. Coat the tofu in tapioca starch and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan; once the oil is hot, add tofu and deep-fry for 6-7 minutes until crispy and golden brown.
  3. Add minced garlic, black vinegar, vegetarian oyster sauce, chopped green onion, crushed cumin, Korean red chili flakes, sesame seeds, sugar, and chopped cilantro in a bowl.
  4. Heat 4 tbsp of oil, and drizzle the hot oil over the bowl. Mix till everything is combined.
  5. Drizzle the sauce all over the crispy tofu, and garnish with green onion and cilantro.
